Eventful times!!!

Hi there everyone! The past few weeks have been very eventful for me and I would like to share my joy with each and every one of you!
I had the honor of attending the grand opening for House of Mini at Downtown East and assisted William in the hosting, together with Joanne. It was a great experience and my first time attending such a huge event. This is a totally different experience and the feeling was great! We even made our very own cupcakes for charity!
I thoroughly enjoyed myself throughout the event and enjoyed every moment of it! At the end of the event, we were given the delicious and wonderful mini donuts and cupcakes from House of Mini! Let me share some photos with you guys!

Really heartfelt thanks to Christine and Joshua for the invite and I am sure House of Mini will be very successful, because the donuts are really nice and my personal favorites are the mini durian puffs! They are simply WONDERFUL!!! Just talking about them makes my mouth waters!!!!
Bryan came to Singapore to film his MV for his debut album and I had my re-shoot of my MV that day as well and I was so happy to see senior Bryan! I listened to some of his songs and it was great! He has a very emotional voice that really melts your heart and he has also shared with me a lot about music, song composition and stage presence. I have learnt so much from him and cannot wait to see him soon! Joanne and I sent him to the airport before he left and we had such an enjoyable time! Jia You, Bryan!!!

I had my reservist soon after that and it was my very last reservist! I will be under MR ( Military Reserve) after 1st Aug 2011 and that means no more reservist and IPPT! Yeah! This reservist was more of  gathering for us and we had a lot of time to recap on our days we had spend through 13 years of National Service.
Seriously speaking, it was kind of emotional for me. We have been through so much, from our active NS days to conversion course during reservist and finally to our major exercise, FATEP, in reservist where we maintained our good performance. We had won the Best Artillery Unit AND Best Combat Unit in 1998/1999 during our NS days and Redcon 2A for our reservist, which is quite a good grade! Been through thick and thin with all the blood and sweat, I am sure although everyone seems ok with parting on our last day, we felt sad in our heart.
I cannot share the pictures from my camp due to confidential information, but I will share what I can. If you would like to see the pictures and videos, we can view in private ya. J just some pics I took in camp.

Lastly, we had the Mothers Day event in Bukit Timah Plaza in conjunction with Teresa Teng’s singing competition semi finals. I was honored to be the judge for the competition and the contestant’s passion for music really touched my heart. We even had contestants at the age of 70 years old and I wish I could still be singing at that age! Haha! We had a really enjoyable  time for the event and took a few pictures.
Before I go off, I will leave you with Elson senior’s MV which he directed himself! He is such a talented artiste and I am really proud to be able to learn from him! Let’s all look forward to his concert in July, Expo Max Pavilion!

Take care, everyone! J

Love,
Peter Ng

Updates Updates!!!!!

Wow, it has been quite some time since I posted on the blog! It has been quite an eventful ride for me these past few weeks and I will share with you in this long overdue post. J Well, most of my posts are LONG anyways… haha…

Those that read up on my facebook would know that I have left my previous company for a new job. I have always been someone who cherish friendship to quite a certain extend and having spent 2 years with the company, it was really a little painful to leave them. The bunch of colleagues was one of the greatest groups that I have worked with and they have all taught me a lot, regardless if they are my superiors or my subordinates. Speaking of which, I have not attached the photos that I took with them individually before I left. Haha. That’s how busy I am. But I will have them all uploaded today! Stay tuned on my Facebook ya!

My Senior, Byran, also came to Singapore for his debut album’s photo shoot and also had some performances too! I finally had the chance to be on the same stage as him in Jurong Point and although I am not singing together alongside him, it was really a great moment to be share the same stage with Elson and Bryan senior! They are great in their performances and showmanship and they are the role models that I, especially, strive to follow. Elson is always charming and captivating on stage and Bryan’s soulful singing captured the hearts of many. A great example for any performer to follow! Of course, they are artistes but there are so many thing that I can learn from them!

Speaking of Elson in Jurong Point, he had an autograph session after his performance and the turnout was fantastic! It was such a great feeling to see him succeed and I am sure Bryan will too!

Bryan is in the mist of recording for his debut album and the last I heard, the recordings are almost done! I simply cannot wait to get my hands on his album! Do keep yourself updated in facebook for the release date for his album ya! But a little preview first! This is one of the songs in his album and is one of my favorite!

Elson will be releasing the special edition of his debut album, 完整专辑(改版), on 25th April, which is definitely another event to look forward to! Following the sold out of his debut album, this is not to be missed! His second album will be out in around May and in this second album, there is a surprise! I cannot disclose what it is, but it will definitely be great! In the meantime, let’s take a look at his newly released music videos for his songs, 說好一定要幸福 and說一次你愛我! I will post this in sequence and please WATCH IN SEQUENCE, as the story is linked! Definitely a surprise!

His music videos for the two english songs in his album is also releasing soon and guess what? He directed the new MVs himself!!! I am so honored to be his junior! Stay tuned for it!
Speaking of albums, Joseph and Yumi will be releasing their compilation album soon! I had the chance to hear their raw version of their songs and I simply love them! They took some pictures during the photoshoot for their album and they look great! Hope everyone will support them, because they have done so well for their songs and they have put in 120%!

Another event I had the honor to be part of was the fund-raiser for Japan, Fundraising for Japan 2011 at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza.  It was an event that gathered some of Singapore’s homegrown talents to take part in a performance marathon, doing our part in performing and raising funds for those affected by the 311 Japan quake. It was an event full of heartfelt emotions and it was definitely heartwarming to see so many, putting our best and doing our small part in a big dream to help those in need.  A big thank you to the organizers for giving me a chance to do my part and I would like to once again urge everyone to participate in fund raisers for those in need. A little gesture really goes a long way and the fulfillment you will feel is really priceless.
Below is the video for the fund raiser that the organizers had done and you can feel the warmth just by looking at it!

There will be lots of other events coming up for us at Royal, which includes 鄧麗君 singing competition, book fairs and events. But I think the most important event that everyone is looking forward to is Elson’s concert at Singapore Expo Max Pavilion! It will be a great event! Hope to see you all there! Before I go off, do take a look at our EP’s TV advertisement! It will be airing soon on TV! Our MV seems to be coming along fine too, so hope it will be ready soon!

See you guys around ya!
Love,
Peter 黄国量

It has been one month plus since the release of Royal Performing Group compilation album.
Thank you to those who had bought our album. And also thank you EME once again for the help and support during our album launch promotion.
And the TV ad for our album is out! Thank you William for doing this ad for us!

Next, Elson Senior's 2 MVs <说好一定要幸福> and <说一次你爱我> are out also! The storyline for both MVs are linked and it is really a sad love story.
Click to watch <说好一定要幸福> first then <说一次你爱我>.
Do standby some tissue paper if you are the sentimental type.

Coming up next will be Elson Senior's debut album- The Final Version special edition album which will be available at all major CD stores starting from 25 April 2011!

Also, the compilation album for Joseph Senior and Yumi will be out soon!
And Bryan Senior is now in the midst of recording the songs for his debut album!
Many good albums from Royal International Group will be out soon, so do lookout for the updates in Facebook!

Lastly before I end this blog, I would like to share the video recorded for the Fund Raising Event for Japan 2011 at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza whereby Elson Senior, Bryan Senior, Joseph Senior, Yumi, Peter and myself had taken part on 10 April.
Am so glad that I'm part of  such a meaningful event!

Lots of Love
Joanne

Rainbow after the rain…

I am sure by now, everyone has heard of the 8.9 magnitude earthquake that hit Japan on Friday. I was reading up on some news about it on the internet.

According to sources on the internet, it seems death toll caused by the earthquake and tsunami might exceed 10,000 in one state alone, with millions of survivors left without water to drink, food to eat and also electricity to get them by…

It is so saddening to know of something like that has happened. It is really heart wrenching to read of such misfortune befalling the citizens of Japan. I sincerely hope that there will be rainbow after the rain and hopefully the country will be able to recover from this terrible catastrophe.

The next time I look around me and complains how unfair things are for me, the Japan 311 earthquake will definitely be at the back of my mind, telling me how fortunate I am to be with my loved ones, safe and sound.

Speaking of rainbows, my seniors, Elson and Bryan, has jointly composed a song as a tribute to the Japan 311 earthquake. This song has touched my heart with the lyrics and melody and I would like to share it with all those reading our blog.

Do join me in my prayers and well wishes for Japan.

Regards,
Peter Ng

Sakura Food Fair 2011 presented by Kee Song Group

The 3 days Sakura Food Fair presented by Kee Song Group ended successfully on 06-Mar.

Look at the beautiful backdrop! With Elson and Shanice Senior together with local Malay artiste- Didicazli and also us- Royal Performing Group!

Jessica and Stephen are the Emcees and their chemistry is certainly building up!
Ehm.. I meant the chemistry in their hosting.. Haha!

And would like to thank Kee Song Group for giving Royal Artistes, Performing Group and talents a chance to perform in this event!

And there is this little girl- Chen Yu Qing who wrote in to perform. She is so adorable!

Ambassadors of Sakura Chicken- Elson and Imperial Chicken- Shanice were also there to dazzle the stage!

And also guest appearance by local Malay artiste- Didicazli!

EMEFC was also there to support the event! With their help, all chickens were SOLD OUT! Good Job everyone! :)

The 3 days food fair was a fun-filled event with lots of great music, games with attractive prizes and healthy food!

Me and Peter have bought the 冬虫夏草鸡 (Cordyceps Chicken) ourselves!
For a moderate cook like me, I'm so happy to know that all I have to do is to clean the chicken and cook the chicken in a slow cooker for at least 2 hours, the best 4 hours! And I can have a healthy and delicious chicken soup!

And thank you Kee Song Group- Mr. Sim for giving me the 樱花鸡 (Sakura Chicken)

I'm going to try cooking it very soon. Am looking through recipes that are easy to cook.
I don't want to make a mistake and ruin the chicken.. So better play safe.. Haha!

For those who had missed this Food Fair, you can also purchase the 樱花鸡 (Sakura Chicken) and 冬虫夏草鸡 (Cordyceps Chicken) from NTUC!
It is definately my No.1 choice to a healthier living!
I strongly recommend!

Cheers!
Joanne
