Hello Everyone, this is Karen. I'm contributing my first post in the royal performing group blog. I'm going to be a little different from all my shi xiong and shi jie by posting about a food review as a start. Basically I would like to recommend a Japanese Restaurant that sells mouthwatering yummylicious Japanese Cuisine.
If you'll have been to the old Wasabi Tei (located at level 5 of far east plaza), the former chef there has set up his own restaurant, now known as Chikuwa Tei which is located along Mohammed Sultan Road. I pay my first visit there after the performance at Chinatown point on Sunday to celebrate my 22nd Birthday. The food there didn't disappoint me, its very delicious and highly recommended by me. For those who loves sashimi, the Sashimi is really thick and fresh.
Enough of words, I shall let the pictures do the talking instead:
Appetizer (All sets comes with an appetizer which is really good)
Chawanmushi (its really soft and there is lots of ingredients like shrimp, mushrooms, chicken bits. I personally think that this is a must have if you ever visit the restaurant.
Beef Set
Sea Eel Set
instead of a small portion of the unagi that we were always served at most foodcourt or restaurant, Chikuwa Tei has a generous portion of 3 sea eels as a portion. The sauce is really fragrant and sweet and the sea eel is more tender than unagi, bones are even softer than unagi's which makes it better if it is to be consumed by elderly or children.
Do try the restaurant if you want to have generous portion of good Japanese cuisine at an affordable price.
Lastly, would like to invite all of you to me and Eddy's first showcase this coming sunday (12th December) at Bian's Cafe. Hope to see you guys there!
